He has pretty good strength and body control and probably could do a job defending a lot of 1s, 2s, or 3s.Jeremyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16692148082729369716noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8418641296724829593.post-75068305595016714242009-01-12T08:03:00.000-08:002009-01-12T08:03:00.000-08:00This may be a first, I agree with pretty much ever...This may be a first, I agree with pretty much everything you said. What James is doing on both sides of the court this year is nothing short of impressive. MU looks like two completely different teams when he is on the court compared to when he's on the bench. Is there a better defensive back court in nation than James and McNeal? Just look at what James did against Scottie Reynolds, Deonta Vaughn, and Darryl Bryant. I can't wait to see James guard Jonny Flynn, Levance Fields, Tory Jackson, and A.J. Price. James' free throw shooting however could single handedly keep him off an NBA court. It's embarrassing.

Would McNeal be able to play at the 2 in the league? Seems too undersized, despite his lenght. His ball handling skills are not near good enough to play the point.

Seems that Wes has the best body for the next level. His shooting has improved enough for him to play at the 2.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15984501088508818114noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8418641296724829593.post-45040369074138302282009-01-11T17:27:00.000-08:002009-01-11T17:27:00.000-08:00The reason for the dropoff in play for Dominic Jam...The reason for the dropoff in play for Dominic James between his freshman and sophomore years was the graduation of Steve Novak and Joe Chapman. During the 05-06 season (James' freshman year) defenses had to be very careful in defending those two because of their shooting ability, especially Novak. They had to play them tight on the perimeter and not give them room to shoot. This opened up huge holes in the opposing team's defense, allowing James to do so many things within the offense. With those guys gone during the 06-07 year, teams sagged more on defense, because of the lack of outside shooting on the team. The defense made it tough for James to do the same type of things, and it led to alot of ill-advised shots and more turnovers. He got better last year, and as you said, this year he is making tremendous strides...especially on defense, WOW.

As I have said for awhile now, if Chris Quinn can play, and start occasionally, in the NBA...so can Dominic James.

What I think is key for all 3 of them, in terms of draft status, is a good run in the NCAA tournament, where the media can grab hold of them and give them excessive props. In order for this to take effect, they have to get some favorable matchups, and make it to at least the Sweet 16.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09938859218277634655noreply@blogger.com
